Who are the Friends of Christ Church School?

The short answer is you are!

If you are a parent or guardian of a child at Christ Church School or anyone over 18 who has the best interest of the school at heart (including ex-pupils).

What do the friends do?

We meet informally at least once a term to plan social and fundraising events to benefit all our children.

What events?

Social events.

In the past we have organised magic shows, puppet shows and discos for all the children. For families we have held a beetle drive. We also hold a leavers B-B-Q for all the year 6 children each year.

Fund raising event.

We have a summer fair and raffle and a Christmas fair every year, thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who give their time and energy! For all the generous donations and support in attending these events.

Why?

We all want the very best for our children.

Unfortunately education budgets do not cover all that we would like them to, so that’s where we come in. Some of the things we have provided for the school in the past: staging, library books, televisions, wet weather and playground toys and games, a garden for the junior playground, music stands, monies towards the piano and to the playground and garden furniture.

What can I do?

Support the friends in any way you can, come along to meetings and give us your opinions and ideas and just be willing to participate and help! Because together we can make a difference
