Health and Safety Council

Christ Church Primary School is a safe place for pupils.

The school has implemented all of the provisions of LA and Government safeguarding recommendations. Risks are explained to pupils in ways that they can understand in the classroom, in whole school Collective Worship and individually as necessary.

Pupils contribute to the management of safety across the school.

The school works with an external Health and Safety Advisor, who meets annually with the Headteacher and helps keep the systems and processes in school up to date in order that all of the school community stay safe.

The school provides support to pupils and families when cases of extremist behaviour occurs at home. Advice is mainly provided by the Headteacher, Pupil and Parent Support Worker and external advisors.

Support includes those families affected by issues including domestic violence, self-harm, drugs and alcohol.

School also provides support to pupils who are young careers.
